Quartz flour is a fine mineral filler produced by grinding purified quartz sand. It offers a high SiO₂ content (>98.7%), low iron content and a controlled, uniform particle size distribution. Chemically inert and hard (Mohs 7), it is widely used in building materials: tile adhesives, grouts, self-levelling compounds, renders and putties, as well as paints, coatings and sealants. Quartz flour is also used as a raw material in glass and glass fibre production and in ceramic glazes.
